About Us

For 150 years the Hampton United Methodist Church has played vital role in ministering God’s word in Hampton Iowa. Yet our past is only the foundation we stand on to reach out to people today. We strive to continue to be a dynamic and welcoming place to worship for future generations.

What We Believe: As United Methodists, we have an obligation to bear a faithful Christian witness to Jesus Christ, the living reality at the center of the Church’s life and witness. To fulfill this obligation, we reflect critically on our biblical and theological inheritance, striving to express faithfully the witness we make in our own time.

Mission Statement: To make and mature disciples of Jesus Christ

Programs: We invite you to celebrate God’s love in many ways. Our church programs include: Sunday school (Pre-school – Adult), Adult and youth choirs, Bible studies, Jr. & Sr. UMYF, Kids Klub, Little Lights, Women’s Circles, Prayer groups, Communion stewards, and more.

We also have active missions and outreach programs to serve people within and outside our community. These include: Food pantry, Youth camp, Ladies aid, Bible school, and various local and church wide fundraisers.

Child and Youth Protection: On June 13, 2007, the Hampton United Methodist Church put into place, a CHILD AND YOUTH PROTECTION POLICY. The policy is on file in the church office for viewing during business hours.
